STAGE PRODUCTION"Solo"choreography and dance: Magdalena Reiter The project was supported by Ministry of Culture of Slovenia, Municipality of Ljubljana - department for culture (...)Solo we can characterize as a mulimedia performance. The fear of loneliness on stage, of singing, questioning the purpose, the meaning of creating are the components driving the performance. The screens are "Alice's", on them Magdalena Reiter takes parts of (split) ironic authocensor. They spread irony and cut into the body, under the skin(...) As far as appearances go it's a simple, full performance, which is not looking for shortcuts and simplifications. Its' power is not meant to please, merely to sacrifice, it is not requesting the approval, understanding, it is ot looking for elevating "the arts". Besides the imaginative choreography and an excellent performance of the authoress, it is necessery to mention the remaining elements, particularly the video projections by Janez Burger, in which bodily fragments of the dancer are gently uncovered, and the thoughtfully designed soundtrack by Tomaž Grom, which is co-creating the authoress'es reflections and quandaries. Magdalena Reiter's Solo uses only a tiny fragment from the Carroll's work, but the spirit of the small piece of The Wonderland spreads in a specific way over the rest of this intimate - confession dance landscape (...) warmy and honestly, as the entire Solo is. In this work she has not only confronted with herself, but has also proven the elaboration of her authorial research - in the concept itself as well as in the fully connected component parts of the performance. Ljubljana, 25.01.2010 FEATURE FILM ARCHEO IN POSTPRODUCTION Feature film Archeo by writer and director Jan Cvitkovic is currently in postproduction. Shoting of the film was in September and October 2009 on locations in Slovenia and in Friuli Venezia Gulia. Ljubljana, 23.01.2010 PREMIERE OF THE PERFORMANCE MODUS VIVENDI On Saturday 23.1.2010 at 8 p.m. will be a premere of solo performace Modus Vivendi by choreographer and performe Magdalena Reiter. Premiere will be in Kulturni dom Španski Borci in Ljubljana. |
