STAGE PRODUCTION"Modus vivendi"Choreography and dance: Magdalena Reiter
Modus vivendi researches the spaces of lapse of continuous ego, where the precipices of not-to-be are opening(…) The dance sequences of Magdalena Reiter are wanting to escape from the schizophrenic feeling to the rescue in movement. After Badiou the dance wants to snatch away from itself. That's why dance is an escape from oneself, just like thought is. Therefore it's true inversy like in Descartes: I think, so I don't exist. I dance: I don't exist. At the same time this escape from oneself, this to-be- in-movement, is simptomatic for modern era(…) The acknowledgement of schizophrenic nature of dance itself is also a moment of a new renaissance. The end of the performance does truely bring a simbolic catharsis. It seems that this is a new birth, which can really live in an eternal modus vivendi, a compromise of opposites, which will not be just temporary, but will in fact be a way of living. Pia Brezavšček
Modus vivendi is a mature theatre work, which is comunicative on the level of content and choreography. Its' dramaturgy is meaningfull with the constant rhythm changes. The piece is scenically agiteted and the performing itself is sovereign and precise, and constantly urges the audience into reflection(…) Petra Tanko

Ljubljana, 25.01.2010 FEATURE FILM ARCHEO IN POSTPRODUCTION Feature film Archeo by writer and director Jan Cvitkovic is currently in postproduction. Shoting of the film was in September and October 2009 on locations in Slovenia and in Friuli Venezia Gulia. Ljubljana, 23.01.2010 PREMIERE OF THE PERFORMANCE MODUS VIVENDI On Saturday 23.1.2010 at 8 p.m. will be a premere of solo performace Modus Vivendi by choreographer and performe Magdalena Reiter. Premiere will be in Kulturni dom Španski Borci in Ljubljana. |
